Stjernen vs Storhamar 1-2 IN PROGRESS
(0-2, 1-0, x-x)

Stjernen had four powerplay opportunities during the first twenty but couldn’t beat Oskar Östlund. In stead Storhamar stroke twice at the other end when Joakim Jensen finally found his muse and netted a pair from close range. The sniper has struggled so far this season, but today’s display will hopefully give him a huge boost in that regard. The blue dressed Yellows were the better team in 5 on 5, but of course the hosts had their chances while playing almost 8 minutes with a man advantage.

Stjernen picked up the pace in the second inning and cut the lead in half early when Philip Hansen’s feather from the blueline beat a non seeing Östlund. Game on, and Storhamar’s goalie had to come up big on several occasions to keep his team in front. Joakim Jensen was awarded a penalty shot a few minutes later, but his nifty move was disclosed by goalie Sander Berg. Five minutes before the buzzer Marcus Bjørnsland was awarded a 5+ game misconduct for high sticking, so Storhamar finished off the period by playing five minutes in powerplay. Huge chances were created during those minutes, but Berg was tight and kept his team in it before the third.

3rd period in progress.
