Storhamar vs Ringerike Panthers 4-3 FINAL
(3-2, 1-1, 0-0)

Storhamar came out hard and scored twice before the six minute mark. Patrick Thoresen opened up the scoring in the first shift when a face-off play resulted in a Thoresen shot from the blueline, a shot that beat goalie Henrik Fayen-Vestavik down low. Then Martin Rønnild doubled the score a long five minutes into it when his direct shot feathered through the goalie – a bit soft-ich.

In stead of feeding off the buzz Storhamar fell in concentration and let the visitors back into the game with a pair of top shelf shots during a one minute spell 14 minutes in. The first of the two was a blueline bubbler from Maximillian Petterson and the latter a snap from the slot by Jonas Moen. Luckily for Storhamar Joakim Jensen sent the Yellows back on top a minute later with a snipe from the side, and from there on Storhamar were back in control. Ringerike changed their goalie after Jensen’s goal when Johan Kallio swapped in for Fayen-Vestavik.

The second stanza was an evenly played affair. Storhamar had most of the run of play, but the visitors played solid in D and held the Yellows on the outside. Goalie Kallio was seldom really challenged in that regard. The Panthers tied the game at the 26.37 mark when Petter Ellefsen beat Storhamar’s netminder Jonas Strand on the far side from close range. Then Storhamar took back the lead once more in the last minute of the period as Robin Dahlstrøm found an opening on Kallio from the high circle. Kallio would probably like to have that one back, but the replay showed that he was screened on the play.

Storhamar played the third act with control in D and without taking too many chances offencively. Ringerike could never really challenge the Yellows, and at the final buzzer another 3 points were in the bag.
