Storhamar vs Frisk Asker 0-1 FINAL
(0-1, 0-0, 0-0)

Storhamar lost at home for the first time in the playoffs, and it felt like a blow. Nicklas Dahlberg stopped all 49 shots against him and played a monstrous game for the visitors. The blue dressed Yellows had most of the run of play during the game, but the rubber just wouldn’t beat the Swedish netminder. He played in a kind of trance, and every shot, no matter the difficulty, was saved. At times his performance was unbelievable, he saved shots from all angles, up and down, deflections, redirections, it was a mere MVP display, nothing less.

His counterpart Oskar Östlund also made some huge saves to keep the score low. But he had to see one go through, a redirected shot by Kyle Bonis 15 minutes into the first act.

Storhamar did almost everything right, but when facing a ghost in net, our boys never managed to break the code or create the needed traffic in the crease and in the low slot. The refs also played their part by allowing lots of irregularities both ways, a dangerous combo in such an important game. But at least neither team was favored more than the other.

Frisk took a 2-1 lead in the final series, and also stole the home ice advantage in the process.
