Veteran Patrick Thoresen has signed a two year deal with Storhamar.

The highly decorated forward also started last season for the club, but he left for KHL and SKA St. Petersburg half way into the season. This time he will stay for the entire period since there are no clauses involved, and he’s made his mind up to settle down in his native Hamar with his native club, Storhamar.

Thoresen has a long career which includes many games in NHL, KHL, SHL and NLA, and also lots of games for the Norwegian national team. He has won two Gagarin cups and he was also elected into the World Championship All-Star Team as the only Norwegian player ever in May 2012 after having dominated the tourney for Norway ending 2nd in the scoring league only surpassed by Russian star Evgeni Malkin.

-In Patrick Thoresen we will get a leader into the dressing room, a player that will keep all of us on our toes and who will widely contribute both on and off the ice, says Storhamar head coach Fredrik Söderström.

We wish Patrick a warm welcome home, and we’re all excited to see him back in our yellow and blue strip.

Patrick’s stats from Eliteprospects.
