Hamar native Eirik Salsten has signed a two year deal with Storhamar. The 23 year old has played in Stavanger Oilers the last two seasons, the first one in which he became a Norwegian Champion.
The youngster comes from the Storhamar system and played over 100 games for the senior team before he left for Oslo in 2014.
Salsten, who is reckoned as a skilled powerforward, is a Norwegian national team player and participated this year in both the Olympic games and in the World Championships. Storhamar head coach Fredrik Söderström has stated the following: -In Eirik Salsten we get a Hamar native back in the team which is always nice. He’s a good player with some exciting skills, and I’ve liked what I’ve seen during the World Championships in Denmark. He also seems like a wise person both on and off the ice.
We welcome young Salsten back home and we’re also looking forward to seeing him dressed up in the yellow and blue colours.
